SmartCut64 is developed and published by LINEKERPANDI LIMITED, company number 06406014, registered in England and Wales at 1035A Finchley Road, London, NW11 7ES, United Kingdom ("Linekerpandi", "we", "us").
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as merchant of record for the transaction, payment, applicable sales taxes, receipt, refund processing and chargebacks. Lemon Squeezy's checkout and buyer terms also apply to the transaction.
3. What the Personal purchase provides
The standard Personal price is £19.99 as a one-time payment, before any tax shown at checkout. A founding offer of £4.99 for the first 250 customers may be shown while that allocation remains available. The price displayed and accepted at checkout controls the order. A purchase provides:
- a licence key for official SmartCut64 Windows builds;
- clean video exports on up to two concurrently activated computers;
- 12 months of official updates and email support from purchase; and
- continued use of the installed version after that 12-month period.
There is no subscription, automatic renewal, consultation, bespoke development, private community or physical delivery.
4. Software and open-source rights
SmartCut64 is licensed under GNU GPL-3.0-or-later. Qt and bundled components have their own included licences. These customer terms do not restrict rights granted by those licences, including rights to run, inspect, modify, rebuild, replace dynamically linked LGPL libraries and redistribute covered software.
The paid entitlement identifies Linekerpandi's official signed binary, clean-export service, updates and support. It does not transfer trademarks, signing keys, entitlement-signing keys or authority to present a modified build as an official Linekerpandi build.
5. Activation, transfers and evaluation mode
A Personal key permits two concurrent computer activations. Each successful activation installs a signed, machine-bound perpetual entitlement. Clean export on that installation then works offline without periodic online revalidation. The application provides deactivation so a licence can be moved. Support will make a reasonable activation reset where a failed or lost computer cannot be deactivated, subject to purchase verification and proportionate fraud controls.
A refunded or disabled key cannot be used for a new activation, transfer or support-assisted reset. An entitlement already issued for perpetual offline use cannot be remotely revoked. Without a valid paid entitlement, official builds operate in Evaluation mode. Editing and preview remain available, but video exports carry a permanent visible SMARTCUT64 EVALUATION watermark and use a full video re-encode. Activation data is described in the Privacy Notice.
6. Updates and support
Included email support covers activation, installation, supported format questions and reproducible application faults. It does not promise recovery of damaged media, compatibility with every third-party player, custom development or legal advice. We aim to acknowledge normal support messages within two UK business days, but this is a service target rather than a guaranteed resolution time.
Updates may add, alter or remove functionality for security, compatibility, licensing or technical reasons. Material changes will be described in release notes. The installed eligible version and its perpetual clean-export entitlement remain usable after the included update period, subject to operating-system and hardware compatibility.
7. Customer responsibilities
You must use SmartCut64 lawfully, keep your licence key private, maintain backups of source media and review an output before deleting originals. You must not misuse activation services, signing infrastructure or support systems. If you receive a full voluntary refund, you agree to deactivate active installations where reasonably possible and stop using the refunded commercial clean-export entitlement. Nothing in this section prevents activity allowed by the GPL/LGPL or removes a mandatory consumer remedy.
8. Refunds and statutory rights
The separate Refund Policy forms part of these terms and provides a 30-day voluntary refund period. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits mandatory rights relating to digital content, including rights where content is faulty, misdescribed or not supplied with required quality. Any checkout consent concerning immediate digital delivery is presented separately by the merchant of record.
9. Availability, warranty and liability
The open-source software licences contain their own warranty terms. Our separate commercial promises are those expressly stated on the product page, these terms and the refund policy. SmartCut64 is not represented as universally compatible with damaged media, every stream/container combination or every third-party device.
We do not exclude liability where exclusion is unlawful, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or mandatory consumer remedies.
10. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms for future purchases. The version accepted with an existing order remains available in a durable form and will not be retroactively replaced to remove accrued rights.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without taking away mandatory protections or courts available to a consumer in their country of habitual residence.
