New in 1.0.34: fixes MPEG-2 transport-stream smart exports with subtitles that could fail the retained-scene interleaving check. Supported H.264 MP4 files can prepare their editing timeline without a full packet scan, helping with network sources; complete timeline verification still runs at export. H.264 scene joins also reset decoder headers correctly.
Previous update: 1.0.33
In 1.0.33: Back Up Profiles and Restore Profiles are now available under Tools > Edit Output Profiles. Native backups preserve custom profile settings, ordering, favourites and the default selection. Restore is staged until Save, with an automatic recovery backup; Cancel keeps saved profiles unchanged.
Previous update: 1.0.32
In 1.0.32: saving a project refreshes audio validation so you can export without reopening it. Smart TS edits preserve selected teletext through the editing stages, and H.264 packet-copy ranges handle reordered decode timestamps while preserving picture data and presentation timing.
Earlier update: 1.0.31
In 1.0.31: supported AV1 MP4 files can open their editing timeline without first reading all video packets, helping with network sources. Exports still verify the complete frame map. This update also fixes a Joiner output-header error involving MP4 chapter tracks, makes edited-clip and title preparation visible, keeps Batch controls accessible on small screens, and adds a persistent Explorer context-menu checkbox under Tools > Options > File Types.
Learn how to scan loudness and calculate gain, or follow the Adjust Audio guide. Gain re-encodes audio while video follows the chosen export mode. The peak-headroom option calculates a fixed gain; it is not a compressor or limiter.
Earlier update: 1.0.30
In 1.0.30: fixes loading of some satellite transport-stream recordings, applies output-profile audio settings to all retained audio tracks, and improves teletext-preserving TS repair and recovery. Network exports no longer create extra temporary export folders beside the finished video; interrupted or locked temporary files are retried safely in the background. Optional output-file validation remains off by default.
Earlier update: 1.0.29
In 1.0.29: fixes Xvid/MPEG-4 AVI exports that could fail with out-of-order timestamps or copied-segment validation errors. MP4 and MPEG Program Stream exports now recover missing presentation timestamps, with corrected MPEG-4 frame packaging and initial decoder information for MPG output. Compatible video remains eligible for copying and smart rendering. MPEG-4 MPG output can be larger because each frame is packaged separately to retain reliable timing.
Earlier update: 1.0.28
In 1.0.28: Run LKFS Scan measures loudness and peaks, and Adjust Audio adds project output gain and audio format controls alongside sync adjustment. Calculate a gain for your loudness target with optional peak headroom, then audition it before export. Audio adjustments are retained by native projects, queued editor exports and edited Joiner items. This update also fixes audio sync during gain/fade re-encoding and MPEG program-stream framing for MPEG-2 video and private audio such as AC3.
Earlier update: 1.0.27
In 1.0.27: faster indexing for supported AV1 MP4 and compatible H.264, HEVC and MPEG recordings, a batch window that stays open with progress, pause after the current file and resume controls, improved Joiner controls and 4K title creation, and corrected AV1 HDR10+ metadata at cut boundaries. Includes the iPhone HEVC and Dolby Vision compatible smart-cut and join fixes from 1.0.26. Unsupported indexing layouts retain decoded analysis. Optional output validation remains off by default. Evaluation exports remain permanently watermarked and fully re-encoded. Dolby Vision preservation during full re-encoding, resizing or effects is not covered. VideoReDo transition compatibility remains incomplete.
Preview can begin while indexing continues. Supported AV1 and H.264 MP4 files can prepare their editing timeline from checked container metadata; unsupported layouts wait for indexing to finish. Exports verify the full frame map. On first use after updating, run the suggested hardware test with a representative video.
Use the full editor without a time limit. Evaluation video exports carry a permanent watermark and do not use clean smart encoding until you activate a paid licence.
