Audio synchronization and volume

Audition and store a project-specific audio offset, and control editor playback volume separately.

Open in SmartCut64Tools > Adjust Audio Synchronization…

Measure the offset

Choose a visible transient such as a clap, door closure or speech consonant. Loop a short marked selection and adjust the project offset until the heard event aligns with the picture.

Preview versus output

The synchronization offset belongs to the project and output timing policy. The speaker slider and mute shortcut change editor monitoring volume only; they do not alter exported audio gain.

Verify after export

Check the beginning, a middle position and both sides of an edit boundary in a second player. A constant offset differs from drift caused by incorrect timestamps or frame-rate interpretation; QuickStream Fix may be more appropriate for damaged timing.
