Copy cannot change level
Audio gain requires decoded samples and therefore an audio transcode. A copied AC-3, DTS, TrueHD, AAC or other compressed stream retains its original level data unchanged.
Configure gain
- Duplicate an output profile.
- Set the primary audio stream to a supported transcode codec such as AAC, AC-3, MP2, Opus or PCM S16LE.
- Choose bitrate, sample rate and channel handling, then apply the required gain.
- Export a representative loud passage and listen/check peaks before processing a long program.
Multiple tracks
Gain/transcode settings normally apply to the selected primary policy; other compatible streams can remain copied. Confirm the final stream list and dispositions in the report.
