Detection sensitivity
Scene-change threshold controls how different consecutive analysed pictures must be before they become candidates. Lower values produce more candidates; higher values require a stronger transition.
Enable audio channel-count changes to propose marks at transitions such as stereo to 5.1. Detection uses the first selected audio track, or the first track in batch scans, and places each mark on the first video frame at or after the decoded audio change. Disable scene and black-frame detection for channel-only marks.
Timing rules
- Minimum time between marks suppresses clusters of visual candidates; audio channel-change marks are not suppressed by this spacing.
- Maximum commercial block limits automatic grouping of candidate pairs.
- Scan I and P pictures only can trade detail for speed on suitable codecs/material.
- CPU priority controls how aggressively a background scan competes with other work.
Automatic cuts
Automatic cuts are disabled when audio channel-count detection is enabled. For visual-only scans, automatically add detected commercial blocks only after testing representative material. Review all proposed marks and preview both boundaries before export. Channel marks do not repair recordings or guarantee that a transition is an advertisement.
