Saving and output

Advanced output profile options

Control codec-specific and container-specific details without bypassing compatibility validation.

Use only when the destination requires it

Advanced options expose lower-level encoder and muxer decisions such as H.264 parameters, transport-stream identifiers, bitrate controls, metadata policy or hardware backend selection. Defaults are chosen for broad compatibility and should remain unchanged unless you can test the receiving workflow.

Validation still applies

An advanced setting cannot force an illegal stream/container combination to succeed. The planner can reject the profile, offer a compatible container or require transcoding. A successful encoder exit is followed by SmartCut64's own output checks.

Create a reversible test

  1. Duplicate the profile.
  2. Change one option and rename the copy.
  3. Export a short source with mid-GOP cuts.
  4. Inspect the report and play through both boundaries in a second player.
